and wa...la.... now maybe all they need is some red white and blue ribbons wrapped around the top to give them a patriotic theme for the month of July, which is almost over I'm just a little late in posting my pics. lol

These old milk cans have been in stuck back in a corner of the old cotton gin forever so decided to dig them out to make me some plant stands.

I found this old wrought iron headboard and imediatly had an idea where and how it would be displayed, and the latern looks enchanting burning at night.

It's like a little surprise everyday when i get home from work I head to my gourd patch and look under those big ol leaves to see how much they have grown from the day before silly i know but can't help myself.

This one is of Flint creek it winds through our property "spring fed" cold as ice in the dead of summer and it sounds so relaxing as it flows over tiers of flint rock. Our girls spent many summer days with friends wading and catching crawdads without a worry in the world.

This one is of what's left of the gears of the mill.

Hello everyone just wanted to post some pictures of my weekend it was just beautiful out and could not resist the great outdoors. I felt as though I was on a treasure hunt helping my husband clean out and clean up the old cotton gin that was built by his great grandfather back in the early 1920's. Of course I'm fascinated with anything from the past it was like a kid in the candy store finding little treasures discarded such as old pop bottles,an old antique pitch fork and an assortment of very old tools that will look nice displayed on our barn walls. .....and this old building and all the history sounded like such an appropraite name and inspiration of my blog. I hope you've enjoyed a stroll down old gin road.
